Developing these relatio...More Hello, I have worked as a live-in carer since 2004, and what keeps me passionate about this role is people and the simple joy that comes when working with older clients, hearing their stories and memories and seeing the delight in their faces and offering a supportive hand. Developing these relationships over time allows clients to feel safe, respected, and cared for with kindness and patience. My background in nutrition has been a wonderful asset in understanding some of the challenges clients face. I enjoy cooking freshly prepared healthy meals that suit individual preferences and lifestyle needs and where possible cooking with clients can be an additional shared moment of activity and joy in the kitchen. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients over the years easily adapting and including complex moving and handling, wheel chair vehicle experience plus travel. I enjoy in adapting and learning each client’s specific requirement and routine. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, cycling, cooking, reading, and continued nutrition education spending time on walks and in nature.
