I pride myself in giving individual person-centred care, I retired from nursing in 2017 but continued as a carer. My experience covers many conditions, illnesses and reasons for people requiring care. I’ve worked in hospitals, residential homes and in recent years I've enjoyed caring for people in their own homes. Alongside personal care I'm happy cooking, doing general housework and caring for pets. I hope that I can help someone stay in their own home as long as they are able to. It is important to build a relationship with the person and with their family building trust and bringing positive feelings each day. I'm based in the Midlands, I'm happy to provide hourly care, longer day shifts or live in care as required. I’m as happy in a rural setting as I am in a busy town, driving for two hours approximately to a placement is fine. In my free time I enjoy embroidery, jigsaws, walking, gardening, cycling and I’m also an animal lover which comes from my farm upbringing. I am unable to do waking night shifts or late into the evening. Being woken through the night to attend to someone is fine. I'm very happy to chat on the phone. Thanks for reading this, please contact me if you think I can help, Sally.

Sally demonstrates warmth and professionalism in delivering care and support. She has made it easy for my Mum to accept some much needed help in her home to maintain her independence. Mum looks forward to seeing her, really likes her, is happy to give her jobs. Sally makes nothing seem too much trouble. A lovely person.

Sally was like a mary poppins. She flew in and within a very short time the house was spotless and so organised. Sally was knowledgeable, methodical and professional and at the same time friendly and very caring. I would recommend Sally without hesitation.

Very easy to contact and arrange a meet up in person with Father in law and family. Lovely gentle person, willing to be available at the times required and adaptable to duties required at each visit. Arrived within the allocated slots and was very helpful putting him at ease and encouraging him to keep clean, eat well and take appropriate medication. She was willing to sit and chat to him when he was feeling low and to raise his spirits. She went above and beyond the job description.
