I believe I have the necessary attributes of being an effective carer, eg, compassion, empathy, and have a sympathetic nature. I have basic cooking skills for old English cooking. I am a good listener and have a copious amount of patience.
When starting with a new client I prefer to have a settling in period where I get to know the clients needs and there routines and sleeping patterns, once this has been established I than discuss with the clients family members/ representatives the period of care I can deliver.
I have a full UK driving licence and I have experience of driving clients own vehicles this can be manual and automatic.
I have completed the Care certificate which includes the 15 standards:
