I have acquired knowledge on how to work with different patients, including the elderly with dementia, mental health issues, learning difficulties, and children with challenging behaviour. Through working with vulnerable individuals, I have discovered the joy of teamwork and how it enhances the care patients receive from staff. I volunteered at the Salvation Army Church Hospital in Africa with the orphanage for three years before I came to the UK. My duties included supporting elderly people with their daily needs, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as encouraging them to do these tasks independently. My role was to be there for them when they needed guidance. I have a passion for helping people, and I believe I have much to offer and give back to the community as a healthcare professional. Having gained confidence at work, I know there is more experience to be gained to achieve my goals. I am dedicated to delivering person-centred care with empathy, respect, and kindness while prioritising the needs of my clients. I am in the final year of my Health and Social Care degree at Liverpool John Moores University, and I am also working on my driving lessons, hoping to obtain my licence as soon as I pass. Finally, I would appreciate it if my clients could cover my travel expenses.
