I have a very outgoing personality and am a dedicated carer committed to providing the best possible care. I started out as a carer and worked my way up to becoming the registered manager of a home in Horsham. I have KFS, so I have dealt with various issues throughout my life and have worked with individuals of all ages and needs, including children and adults with mental health challenges. As a registered care manager, I successfully increased my home's success rate from 27% to 86%. I recruited and retained care staff effectively. I have also worked in domiciliary care as a field care supervisor, managing teams of care workers, and in residential homes. Additionally, I have experience as a private PA, managing a team of six staff to care for a client with complex needs arising from severe MS, where I administered medications, developed care plans, and conducted risk assessments. I enjoy cooking, ironing, and cleaning. I keep my flu jabs and COVID vaccinations updated, as I believe that ensuring my clients' safety and reducing the risk of viruses is vital to the care industry. I have experience in various areas of care, from PEG feeds to acquired brain trauma, dementia and Alzheimer's to learning difficulties and mental health issues. I am happy to discuss any requirements you may have, as I always ensure my care is person-centred.

Excellent

Booked Barry to help look after my mum's partner while mum was in hospital, at short notice. He was kind and caring and my mum's partner really took to him, especially when he took him out for some fresh air and has been singing his praises ever since! Wouldn't hesitate to use Barry again.

Excellent

Barry looked after my Dad for several weeks and he did so with professionalism and kindness. My Dad is very elderly and has advanced Alzheimer’s and Barry took care of his dressing and showering needs and looked after him during the day, taking him out for drives and in his wheelchair. I will certainly ask Barry to assist us again and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his services to others. He has gone above and beyond what was asked of him and has also been extremely accommodating.
