I have been working in the healthcare industry for over 18 years in the UK, looking after patients and residents in both the private sector and the NHS with various medical conditions, including stroke, dementia, physical disabilities, diabetes, and asthma. Over these 18 years, I have accumulated a vast amount of experience, enabling me to deliver care to anyone who needs it. I have strong experience working as a live-in carer for both elderly individuals and young people with disabilities. I provided full-time support for an elderly lady who had recently been discharged from hospital. She had lived alone for nine years after her husband passed away, and I assisted her with personal care, daily tasks, mobility support, and companionship. I also worked with a 17-year-old boy with a disability, staying in his home whenever his parents travelled for holidays. During these periods, I was responsible for his wellbeing, daily routines, and comfort. Additionally, I supported his younger brother, who also has a disability, ensuring both children received consistent care, attention, and kindness in a safe and supportive environment. I am a compassionate and hardworking person. I have developed good listening and communication skills to provide the best care for my clients and patients over the years. I am also a leader of a children's ministry and charity organisation in my church. I enjoy going out as a family, watching movies, doing DIY, cooking at home, and decorating the house. I am currently looking for part-time live-in work, either locally or travelling within 100 miles of Stockton-on-Tees, with availability from Monday to Saturday. I can offer longer day shifts or sleeping/waking night hours for regular clients within a radius of 20 miles.
