I am compassionate, caring, and friendly, with extensive experience dealing with people in the early stages of dementia, early-stage vascular dementia, epilepsy, and providing companionship for elderly individuals. I have worked in elderly homes, residential settings, respite care, and rehabilitation centres.
When starting with a new client, I prefer to have a 3-week settling-in period where I can get to know my clients' needs. If, after this period, both parties are happy with my care, I am willing to extend my rotation to 6 or 8 weeks.
I enjoy cooking fresh meals from scratch, keeping everything simple and engaging clients as much as possible in the process. I can teach my clients how to cook international dishes, specifically Romanian cuisine. Cleaning is also very important to me.
My hobbies include jogging, taking care of pets—especially dogs—reading, gardening, learning to cook, studying foreign languages, travelling, and volunteering—such as feeding the homeless or assisting with various tasks in elderly homes—and meeting new people from different backgrounds.
While in placements, my main focus is on my clients and their wellbeing; I am not available for outside jobs except for light gardening.
