I am responsible for looking after patient’s health and wellbeing in ensuring that they feel valued, understood and that they receive care that is person-centred and catered to their needs. I ensure they receive top notch personal care; they look smart and well-looked after, toileted, and checking their skin integrity on a daily basis. I understand the importance of offering nutritious food and ensuring they have adequate fluids and that they are assisted to eat and drink if not well enough to do that independently. I ensure to empower and enable patients/clients to maintain their independence and for those that are unable to look after themselves ensuring that they are looked after with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much for me, keeping the service user safe is my number one priority, ensuring their day goes flawless is what I will aim to accomplish every day, I will give my service users excellent care every day, not when I feel like it, but all the time.
I work well within a team and on my own and I am self-driven and love looking after people. When I finish my day, I always reflect, and I always look back with pride what I have done well, and I aim to improve on things that did not go well that day.
