I ensure they receive top-notch personal care; they look smart and well-cared for, are toileted appropriately, and that their skin integrity is checked on a daily basis. I understand the importance of offering nutritious food and ensuring they have adequate fluids, assisting them with eating and drinking if they are not well enough to do so independently. I strive to empower and enable patients/clients to maintain their independence, and for those who are unable to look after themselves, I ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much for me; keeping the service user safe is my number one priority. I aim to ensure their day goes smoothly, providing excellent care every day, not just when I feel like it, but consistently.
