I have cooked for Royalty,...More   I am Fully Qualified chef with 20 years’ experience in working in the top end of the food sector .I have Worked as a Pastry chef in one UK's première Golf clubs making all pastry/cakes/Deserts/Ice creams from scratch. I was promoted to Sous chef after one year. I have cooked for Royalty, celebrity’s, Hollywood actors , Top sportsmen and world famous musicians.                           Since 1996 I began a career working change and have worked in Social care/support sector assisting/supporting people with Disabilities in their homes and with independence skills. I use my cooking skills as a mentor therapy tool to build relationships and add richness to people’s lives. For the last 10 years I have worked extensively in the field of people with Head Injury, helping them to gain fuller recovery and life satisfaction, life goals and achievements.  Notable other achievements;   *Worked as a care co-coordinator/Office manager for a successful Care recruitment company.  *I have worked as a tenancy officer assisting vulnerable people from all client groups with housing issues and benefit applications. *I have worked with and supported clients from varied groups including mental health, Learning disabilities, Autism and Head Injury. *I have worked as an Advocate overseeing services for people with Learning Disabilities * Assisted client with a head Injury apply for and regain his driving License. [July 2016] I have worked in a young person’s homeless Hostel assisting them to maintain their accommodation through mentor, key working and general behaviour support.  I implemented a life skills course there teaching cooking skills. Because of my varied, strong and all round capabilities I was recently ‘head hunted’ by Independent Living solutions for a position to Mentor a person with a head injury in his Rehabilitation and general life skills teaching; budgeting, shopping and organising recipes for cooking independently.  From 2010 I have been mentoring/ supporting a client to be  involved in the music industry through his interest of DJ  ‘ing’ and assisted him in maintaining links with the community in this capacity.  I can supply numerous References on request.   Main Qualifications City and Guilds ‘cookery for the catering Industry’ 706 1 and 2  [I achieved a credit for Part 2] at Basingstoke Technical college 1987-1990 Diploma, Pastoral and clinical counseling skills 2001 Diploma Cognitive Therapy. 2007 Diploma Level 3 Health and Social care for Adults and young peoples settings. [jan18] Level 2 Adult mental Health 2018 Level 2 Childrens and young peoples mental Health 2018 Current positions  Privately employed by  Legal secretary in the support of a client who lives in Southampton, Hampshire . This client has a acquired brain injury.. This involves assisting with budgeting ,planning activities, and managing health. This person has severe cognitive disabilities and part of the role is to de escalate potential behaviours arising from this. I also do private support work in mental Health which is funded through Direct payment schemes. This involves supporting a person with paranoia and schizophrenia in managing their progress to live  a better life and attain goals.
