I have had various roles, including Care Co-Ordinator and Registered Manager. I have completed many courses over the years and gained several qualifications. I believe through the experience of supporting many individuals and families I have gained the most knowledge. Integrity and treating the people I care for with dignity and respect are very important to me. I have a true passion for supporting people to enable them to remain independent in their own home in a safe environment and do all I can to achieve this. I have experience of working with many people at different stages of dementia, including leader on Dementia unit within a care home. I can be flexible with days/hours I work, as I do not have any dependents, my children are adults and have left home. I am happy to support people with mobility issues and can liaise with Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist and follow any exercise plans for individuals. As a carer my job is to be the eyes and ears for the people I support, and to work closely with families where needed. I like to have a detailed care plan to follow and write daily notes, and to work alongside other professionals, GP’s and District Nurses. I am happy to do ad hoc sleep ins and I currently have availability for morning visits 7 days a week, some afternoons and evenings.
