I have 6 years experience as a carer, working with people with learning disabilities and autism, mental health needs, and with older people. I can assist with household and administrative tasks, as well as personal care, toileting and eating. I have a full, clean driving licence and enjoy supporting people to go out in the community and pursue their interests. Having been a support worker for 6 years, in 2011 I decided to train to be a social worker, which I completed in 2014. I worked in a Community Learning Disability Team for 6 years. I have had some time off with Long Covid and now want to get back to working with people in a more direct way. I enjoy walking and swimming, and have recently started going to the gym. I’m into the arts, especially music, and I’m part of a local choir. I love animals and have a cat called Humphrey who is the light of my life!
