I have a proven track record of delivering compassionate, person-centred care and have served as a senior support worker, mentoring colleagues and leading by example. Currently, I work as a night warden supporting homeless clients, where I ensure safety, provide crisis support, and help reduce social isolation.
I am first aid and MAPA/NAPPI trained, with strong communication, problem-solving, and IT skills. I am committed to continuous learning and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking team like Curam, whose values align with my commitment to client empowerment, inclusion, and community connection. I have good communication skills where I can get in touch with families, friends and professionals from various sectors. Communication enables me to effectively listen to concerns and provide guidance and work hand in hand with social services as well as healthcare providers. I can easily emphasize with the clients and as well as the family involved. In my present role as a support worker, I help individuals facing homelessness and secure appropriate accommodation rather than sleeping on the streets. This is all to do with solving problems. With the experience gained so far, I am able to assist families in crisis, develop action plans and work alongside with other services to ensure positive outcomes. Finally I am willing to go out with my clients for outdoor activities to make them happy and feel that they are part of the community.
