I have live-in experience looking after couples or single clients. I always adhere to client care-plan, promoting their independence and at the same time supporting them with the help they need. I have good communication skills, can speak and write fluent English. I value listening attentively to my clients and their families, this helps me to understand their needs, and also helps to build trust as I provide care. Over the years I have acquired knowledge and skills that I use to provide quality care to my clients. For accountability, prevention of errors and continuity of care I ensure that I document all the care that I provide. I am flexible and open-minded, a fast learner, and can easily adapt to new environments and routines. I have active DBS and PVG for Scotland Besides giving personal care to a client, I also have experience in: -infection control -Food hygiene, I can cook fresh meals -Enteral Feed which includes PEG, RIG, JEJ and NG. -Stoma care -Catheter care and female catheterisation -Nephrostomy/Urostomy -Wound care -Dementia care -Epilepsy management -End of Life care -Post-operative care -Spinal and Brain injury -Multiple Sclerosis - Parkinson Disease -Palliative care -Diabetes monitoring and insulin administration -Medication administration -Moving and handling using hoist, Stedy, Zimmer frame, sliding sheets, banana boards, and I am keen to learn new equipment. I am currently looking for live in clients, if possible regular clients where I can establish good working relationships with my clients and their family members. When delivering live in care I prefer to have my 2 hour break each day where possible. I am happy to travel throughout the UK, covering Scotland, Wales, England & Northern Ireland, if travelling over 30 miles to clients travelling expenses would have to be covered by my future clients both ways. Once I have a settling in period with my clients we can then discuss my length of care that I am happy to deliver. When I am not delivering live in care I am also looking for a few night time shifts, this can be one off or regular clients.
