I came into contact with various professionals and was always complimented on my knowledge and professionalism. I work well as a team player and used my initiative to get things done. I really enjoy the hospital setting and have the experience of working within a Discharge Team going onto wards where the patients had various surgeries namely knee or hip replacement and arranging a care package so they could return home safely. Working alongside qualified Social Workers and seeing them in practice confirmed that this is a vocation that resonates with me and I really like the changes they made to people’s lives and how it was achieved with various agencies and other professionals to ensure everyone was working in an integrated and collaborative manners, thus empowering the service users.
