A caring, empathetic, flexible, compassionate, discrete, adaptable and self-motivated individual with 16 years experience caring for adults with varied conditions and needs such as Alzheimer’s, Advanced Dementia, Muscular Dystrophy, learning disabilities and palliative care in their own homes. I am reliable and treat clients with dignity and ensure they maintain a healthy, happy life with choices, independence and encouragement. I have been a private live-in carer and therefore value the importance of confidentiality. Assisted with medication prompting. I have assisted clients with all aspects of personalised care including dressing while maintaining their dignity at all times. Assured Clients with Alzheimer’s and advanced dementia making sure they lived in safe environments. I accompanied them to weekly activities such as Singing for the brain. Clients were supported with their hobbies and I happily joined in and participated in whatever activity the client enjoyed. I have catheter care experience and cared for clients who were incontinence. I have a carer’s experience in wound care management although working under the guidance of District Nurses. I can communicate with healthcare professionals and relate well with families and can work well within a team. I made relevant appointments. I have the capacity of implementing personal care plans which focus on the individual’s welfare, needs, wants and interests. I have the ability to manage challenging workloads while staying focused on giving a high standard of care to clients. My rates are competitive and commensurate with the experience I possess. NOTE: Bank Holidays are charged at double daily rate. I have the required relevant training. I also have a current Enhanced DBS I have a Full UK driver’s licence. I am flexible with live-in periods My hobbies include watching sports on TV, watching documentaries, knitting and doing sudoku. I also love to travel to different parts of the world.
