I started working as a support teacher for children with learning disabilities. I now seek the opportunity to find a post that will increase my responsibilities, and caring for a person in their own home will help me achieve that, as it will become a person centred care. I am quite friendly, that makes it easy for people to relate with me, I communicate effectively so we are not stepping on each other’s toes and crossing boundaries, I am very attentive, so I’ll be listening and watching my client closely, in case there’s anything I can help with, without actually hovering about them. I am also very attentive to details, so I would absolutely be careful with sensitive matters, such as administration of medication, filling in mar sheets and incident reports. Meanwhile I am also a very positive person, and I’ll absolutely bring joy to the service users home, not leaving out that I’ve also got a wicked sense of humour. I am patient, kind, open-minded, thoughtful, understanding, reliable, quite flexible, and I would always go the extra mile. My role involves administering medication, personal care and sourcing community based opportunities. I enjoy reading during my break, which allows my client to get some room to take a break as well. I would now like to use my qualities and experience in a role where I can grow as well as support the individual who uses my service, and I believe I have the right values to lend a helping hand. I would be delighted to attend for interview to discuss my application further.
