I have cared for various co...More I describe myself as down to earth, friendly, polite and very caring. My mother was a nurse and on retiring opened an auxiliary training facility and care home. I have been involved in care since the age of 15. Caring for my own mother and grandmother till they passed in. I have cared for various conditions including Dementia, Severe Learning Difficulties, Renal Failure and Angina. Within these roles I was providing supervision and support with movement and mobility. Sensitive assistance with all aspects of personal care and managing the household management from shopping to meal preparation, shopping and laundry. Within this role I'd like to think I proved myself to be a competent carer, not only being praised for honesty and reliability but also for being hard working, attitude and putting my best into the task at hand. Duties in previous employment: Studied and gained her Diploma in Credit Control, studied Psychology and gained a Dip HE in Accounting and Finance. I currently work in this profession in a part time basis. I have a wealth of both personal and professional experience. I have good knowledge of personal care, toileting, nutrition and mobility; including the use of hoists and understands the importance of monitoring medication and client confidentiality. I cared for People with various conditions such as; Alzheimer’s/Dementia, Cancer, Diabetes, Downs Syndrome, Infectious Diseases, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Learning Difficulties and Elderly Care. I also worked for the National Autistic society for over 3 year as a support worker and risk assessor Specialist training: Dementia Training, Stroke Training, Multiple Sclerosis Training, Ear and Eye Drop Training Risk assessment and autism. Training completed: Moving and Handling, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Safer handling of medication, Basic First Aid, Principles of care, Role of the Care Worker, Needs of the Service User, Incontinence Care, Basic Infection Control, Abuse Awareness of Vulnerable Adults.
