I was at the peak of Covid working as a healthcare assistant in the emergency department at King’s College Hospital in London. I decided to progress by enrolling to train as a nurse. I have been a registered adult nurse since October 2024 and I still work as a carer in my spare time. It is my responsibility and duty of care to protect the people I am caring for. I understand that for anyone to depend on care services, they must be vulnerable in some way. However, everyone is different, and person-centred care must be considered. Looking after people helps them to enjoy at least a bit of quality of life. Assisting patients, clients, or residents often prolongs their lifespan. It is my duty of care to ensure that the individuals depending on my services have up-to-date assessments. They must have choices and the freedom to pursue their desires. I am passionate about my career. I truly enjoy putting smiles on people's faces and receiving positive feedback from them. I have completed numerous indoor training programmes with King’s College Hospital, which do not allow us to take certificates. However, they have issued me with my care certificate, which covers the indoor training. I would be greatly appreciative of the opportunity to work with you and your families. I will ensure that I make myself flexible to suit the needs of my service users. Your care is a priority. I believe that this is the right time to join as a healthcare assistant or support worker. Thank you.
