My duties were to care for an individual taking her to activities and playgroups, shopping, and library to help use a computer. Through this experience I was able to have good time keeping, use my social skills and communication, lastly able to show the individual technology skills also have worked with different kind of clients some with spinal injuries, Stoke, dementia, elderly, brain injuries. I have done support work and home care with many more experiences in different care sectors. I am a caring, attentive, patient, and committed person who enjoys supporting others. Also, I have done several courses over the years in order to improve my skills and to become better at my job. I worked in a different hospital’s as a career assistant to residents
to help them meet both their health and social care needs, including washing, toileting,
bed making and preparing meals and drinks. I was helping the residents to identify and
choose their support needs with a full care assistant. also I’ve been working as a live-in carer, with my current agency now for over two years, which
has taken me all over the country, and (Scotland). I enjoy live-in since I can give one to one
care, helped with personal care such as washing, dressing and continence care, assistance taking prescribed medicines and helping with cooking and meal preparation , preventing
falls and accidents in the home. General care help, including laundry, gardening, and admin tasks and companionship and help with social interaction. I’ve given companion care and
have formed friendships from this. The job as live-in has allowed me to visit some great places in the UK. I’m very passionate about my job. It gives me joy to put a smile on
someone who looks up to me for any kind of support.
