I am a qualified Registered Nurse with 44 years of experience and have been working as a full-time Agency Registered Nurse for 8 years. I work in NHS hospitals, private hospitals, and occasionally in nursing homes. As a general registered nurse, I work in surgical and medical wards. I have been a nurse for 44 years, part of which I spent abroad for 22 years as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. I have been in the UK for 24 years and worked in the NHS on a stroke ward for 13 years. (I intend to retire from hospital nursing soon.) My skills include male and female catheter insertion, nasogastric insertion, PEG care, regulating pump feeds, blood collection, personal care, prevention of pressure sores, wound care, stoma care, and the administration of medications both orally and through injectable, intravenous, and subcutaneous methods. I assist patients/clients with activities of daily living, provide holistic care, and support the elderly with dementia, stroke, trauma, and rehabilitation. My hobbies include gardening; I enjoy growing my own vegetables, music, attending church, reading, sightseeing, and travelling on holiday. I am sociable and extroverted. I love people.

    Excellent
