My first experience of professional caring was with my County Council where I received excellent training on all sorts of illnesses as well as the mandatory moving and handling training. Due to working part time I had the opportunity to take up another part time role as a physiotherapy assistant. This position was working with elderly patients transferred from a London Hospital. As well as these positions I was looking after my parents at a distance ensuring that they had medications at all times. Looking after their bills and any other payments. Ultimately arranging care for my father as his vascular dementia got worse. Moving back to London in 2012 I looked after my next door neighbour in mornings and evenings for a year. It was wonderful year proving that my care skills were still very much alive I love making sure people are comfortable and if I know of anything that can help them even more I will try and find out how it can be done. So if you want a compassionate, professional, hardworking carer then I would love to be given the opportunity to work for you.

What a lovely person Helen is. She provided short notice respite care for my wheelchair bound sister in law. She was friendly and helped her with personal care but did it in a way to be courteous of Mera’s dignity, I am very grateful for that. We will hope to book her again in the future. When I asked Mera how she found Helen, she said ‘Helen is great, we had a laugh and she is fun’ To me that says it all. Thank you Helen.

Helen provided live in cover care, looking after my 106 year old grandmother who is bed bound. She was keen to understand the usual routines so she could minimise disruption to my grandmother, which was appreciated. She was kind and polite, and my grandmother commented that she was very thoughtful. I would certainly book Helen again in future and have no hesitation to recommend her.

Helen looked after my aunt aged 102 for 2 days live-in while her usual carer was on holiday. My aunt is very old and obviously very frail, also hard-of-hearing, but has no dementia. Her usual carer has been with her for 2 years so she gets anxious when someone else is coming. However, she enjoyed Helen's company and felt well looked-after. She found Helen friendly and caring, and said she'd definitely be willing to have Helen come again.
