I have also been privileged to team lead/ deputise and manage the service in the absence of the manager. Liaise with the other professionals/ stakeholders that works with the people we support such as social workers, doctors, pharmacist, physiotherapist, police, Nurses, paramedics etc. As the acting deputy manager, I see to the smooth running of the service and induct new staff, carry out supervision for the staff, assist in the recruitment process, rota management, shift allocation etc. I have support people that are recovering from enduring mental illnesses to regain their independence and live a meaningful life. The above were achievable as I am highly motivated, tolerant, patient, caring, a good listener, dedicated, an optimistic worker, a team player with a good communication, listening, personal and interpersonal skills. Working with different clients group had broadened my knowledge and scope on how to respect and value these group of people as an individual who has ability, responsibilities, ideas, needs, hope and choice to make significant decisions about their lives. Therefore as a team leader/acting deputy manager, I have learnt to support the staff to work with the service users to live a meaning lives on a daily basics according to their individual needs and preferences..
