I did not initially intend to focus on live-in care, but repeated requests from clients and their families have led me to specialise in Live-In and Domiciliary care for over 10 years.
I continue to keep up to date with practices in various sectors of the care industry, including nursing and community care, and still work in these environments.
I have training and practical experience in specialist areas, such as special needs, dementia, palliative care, as well as managing challenging behaviours, self-harm, violent outbursts, danger to the public, and Autism and Down's Syndrome.
I believe we should all work together, as it is only then that we can create the type of world most of us wish to live in. My personal life revolves around my family, which takes up much of my free time, including my son and wife, granddaughter, nephews, nieces, cousins, and of course, my “aunties” and “uncles,” who still offer me advice on anything (or everything). I am also an “auntie” to a few, and I am happy to provide advice and guidance based on my own experiences in life. A few other African ladies and I have formed a club to invest resources in helping and empowering Africans, primarily in Southern Africa, but also abroad, especially women, and we encourage them to do the same for others.
I do not offer my services lightly; however, when I commit to something, I do it to the best of my ability, utilising my experience and upbringing, which taught me that the greatest thing we can do is care for others.
Please give me a call so we can discuss hours, rates, needs, wants, etc. Then give me a try; you won’t regret it.
