I have 9 years of experience in the care industry, working and providing high levels of client-centred care. I enjoy the social interactions, broadening my mind and getting to know my clients and their families on a more personal level, whilst maintaining professionalism.
I have a GCSE (O-Level) in Health and Social Care, as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. However, I would like the opportunity to help the younger generation (children and adolescents) as I can relate to all ages of life.
I specialise in complex dementia needs and have the most experience in atypical and typical Parkinson's disease and Lewy bodies. I have extensively worked with motor neurone disease and in palliative care. From my past clients, I have felt honoured to work in end-of-life palliative care. The first time I witnessed death, when I was a child, I felt a little scared, but I have since come to realise that death is inevitable—an understanding I gained during my time working in the ambulance service. Getting to spend those last moments caring for someone is both a beautiful and poignant part of life.
I enjoy driving and have a clean driving licence. I take great pleasure in planning and taking clients out for scenic trips and visiting National Trust locations for them to enjoy the breathtaking views, scents and experiences.
I was just leaving school when I got my first job as a carer. I thought I would try it and see how it went because my mother and I used to visit a care home every Friday afternoon to see a friend. I tried it, and the only feedback I've ever received is thanks, gratitude and positivity, which soon made me realise that this was my calling, so why not continue?
I love to ski! In fact, it’s my favourite hobby; so much so that when I was 7 years old, I had a skiing accident and fractured my kneecap. (I still ski now, in case you wondered.) I am a pianist with 18 years of experience, and in my own time, I can play pieces such as 'Moon River', 'Canon in D', and 'Make Me a Channel of Your Peace', etc. I enjoy both classical and modern music. I do, however, think Mozart is overrated, although I have visited the house in which he was born in Salzburg, Austria.
Currently, I am in the process of updating my training certificates. Until this is completed, I am looking for clients who are more mobile and do not require hoisting or personal care.
Please get in touch; I’d love to hear from you.

Excellent
Kaleb has an impressive ability to establish excellent rapport with a new client. He has got to know my elderly disabled father soon after discharge from hospital, which has gone a long way to help my father continue to recover well. Kaleb's competence and calm confidence has already made him invaluable whilst my husband & I juggle care for our respective parents. A truly impressive professional, Kaleb takes our family situation and need for Dad-care in his stride calmly, reliably & very ably.
