    I have worked in care industry for 19 years as a support worker. I did 14 years working in residential home with learning disabilities people. Assist them with their day-to-day activities and to ensure that they achieve their goals also their independent skills. I also administer medication, do personal care, cooking, shopping and to ensure that their environment is clean. I changed my job from 2017 till now I’m working in community, with different people in their houses with different needs. I support with meditation, personal care, change catheters ,hoisting, preparing meals, shopping and cleaning sometimes. I also assist a Tetraplegic lady on one to one where I had to hoist from bed to wheelchair and feeding her. I love my job so much and I’m a very hardworking lady, polite, trustworthy and good listener. Also to ensure I report all incidents to appropriate people, to keep and maintain confidentiality . My duties also includes getting to know clients personally and to provide them with emotional support and company, which contributes positively to their wellbeing.

    Excellent

    Bertha accompanied my father to my wedding and looked after him during the trip. She was absolutely amazing and he not only had a good time but more importantly was well cared for. I would 100% use her services again. A very kind and gracious lady who made my family feel at ease straight away.

    I chose Bertha to look after my mum because when she came for the initial visit, amongst other things, she appeared warm and caring. She called our mum “Mum”, which made us feel that she instantly felt part of the family and would treat our mum as hers. She took very good care of my mum whilst we travelled for my dad's burial in Nigeria, and we stayed in touch over the phone. Mum still asks about her. I would highly recommend Bertha x
