I then went on to do my nurse training in mental health and further study in public health nursing. I have decided to become a personal assistant/ carer again as I've realised that I love this type of work most and enjoy making a difference in people's lives. I recently gave up my full time post as a public health nurse to care for my father who had dementia. Unfortunately he passed away due to covid but I actually loved spending this time with him and although this was cut short it has made me understand what I really want to do with my career now and become a carer again. I have gained many skills and knowledge over the past 20 years working with the NHS. My background is mostly working with people in mental health, learning difficulties, and dementia care. I am very hard working and will support anyone as if they are my own family and recognise peoples needs are very unique and tailor my approach to care on a very individual basis. I have two children aged 10 and 14 one of which has a mental health condition. I love to go for long walks, cycle and run. I enjoy travelling when able to and I also like gardening.

Sarah continues to be invaluable. In addition to loading the washing machine, ironing, distributing ironed clothing to the appropriate place, making beds, changing bedsheets and towels, occasional hoovering, takng letters to postbox or pot office, watering houseplants., emptying bins etc. etc. And she has a pleasing and resilliant, personality.

I found Sarah for my parents. I knew she was right for them. She is the most wonderful, caring, and kind person. My Dad suffers with Dementia and Mum has been suffering with depression. Sarah is so understanding and patient. My Dad looks forward to their trips out for coffee and shopping. I have never seen my parents so happy and reassured knowing Sarah is there for them. She has made such a difference to us all knowing we have someone reliable and caring. I thoroughly recommend her.

Very adaptable, we only have to tell her once where things are. Very willing - we are housebound, and she kindly took a large envelope to the post office for us - very helpful.
