I am South African with a British citizenship. I decided to come to the UK in May 2019 to do a caring course and start caring for the elderly as I needed more income as my healing practice is not bringing in enough to sustain my living costs. I've always wanted to give back to society in a healing, caring, loving way whilst earning a living. I helped my mother look after my grandmother after she had a stroke and it was a very loving, rewarding and priceless experience for me to give back to all the great years of loving and care my grandmother gave me as a child she taught me so much about life and how to do things and I will cherish her for the rest of my life. I love engaging with the elderly and listening to all their life stories they have such alot of wisdom to share. I find caring to be a very rewarding job. I like arts and crafts, cooking, sewing, knitting and gardening. I worked for a corporate company as a legal administrator before I had my children and have been looking after them and running small business in-between, they are all grown up and at university now in SA and are living their young lives happily. I had to go back to South Africa in January 2020 due to Covid to be with my family during the uncertain times. I am now back in UK and did another in person Caring Course through a very reputable caring agency and have started my caring journey. My CV address has changed, I am now in Bournemouth area.

During Teresa’s time with us she has shown a huge amount of compassion, patience and understanding whilst caring for our mother Mollie. Dealing with daily routines, and sometimes emergencies, in a confident and professional manner. We have found Teresa calming and reassuring, and has become an important part within our family unit. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
