I have worked as a carer for 26 years now and I enjoy my job and am very efficient. I have worked with people with dementia, end of life care, MS, Parkinson’s, stroke patients ,peg feeds, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and palliative care. I can also assist with personal hygiene, toileting, medication, eating, cooking and cleaning. I became a carer after helping my parents looking after my paternal grandpa who had dementia. My first care job was as a live in carer for 16 years and I enjoyed it very much. I love reading books on different subjects.
