The specific skills I offered were problem solving, medication management, relapse prevention and motivational interviewing. I liaised effectively with other agencies as appropriate to ensure service users’ care were maintained. I worked with the clients in managing their housing, benefits applications and devising programs to occupy their day and time. During my training, I have developed a good working knowledge of mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Care Programmed Approach (CPA). I have the ability to work within the policies and guidelines set out by the Code of Conduct (NMC) and other relevant legislative frameworks using a reflective approach to practice. I always ensure that high standard of practice is maintained in relation to the detention of service-users under the MHA 1983 I am able to implement the Equal and Diversity policy, hence promoting constructive relationships with warmth and empathy, using effective communication skills and non-judgmental attitude to others.
