A secondary school teacher of economics by profession. I am dedicated, focused, punctual, team player, confident with a professional attitude towards work. I am highly competent with training and versed with experience of working in different sectors of care settings. I have many years' experience working in domiciliary care, caring for people with different challenges ie. Biopolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, Early/late dementia, learning disabilities, incontinence, palliative/end of life care. I have worked in care homes, supported living, Mental and Rehabilitation centre's. I have been a carer for more than 12 years, during this time I have worked with patients/clients with challenging needs. I treat clients with a personal centred approach because not all needs are the same. I currently work in Hospital under the NHS trust. I work on different wards mostly caring for older people with early/late dementia, acute medical gastroenterology units, caring for stroke patients as well as neurological patients needing rehabilitation, surgical wards, elective Orthopaedic and trauma. During my time working in the hospital, I have learned how to take care of stomas and catheters this has been learned on the job. I like to be tested with different challenges all the time. I like sports, reading, cooking(Traditional dishes) and adventuring.
