I have three grown up children, two of my eldest have gained a degree each and my youngest is at the Comprehensive. I have worked as a carer from the age of thirteen for my Nan, I looked after my Nan at weekends including overnight care whilst my Mother worked as a professional nurse. I then decided this is what I would like to do, to become a qualified Carer. I have worked for care agencies for over twenty years - my work consisted of companionship, looking after young people with autism and challenging behaviour and the elderly. I have spent many years working for care agencies and acquired NVQ level 2 in health and social care as a qualification to become a community carer. I have been a great companion for many clients over the years, I am a Dementia friend and am proud to wear my Dementia Friend badge. I have lots of experience working with clients with Dementia and also know how difficult it is for families to come to terms with Dementia diagnosis. I have also worked with clients with Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's disease, visual impairment, autism, and mental health. I am a kind, caring, reliable, patient, and have good listening skills. who will always be prepared to learn more about care and always look forward to new care needs. If you are caring for a family member and you need some time, to do your own thing and take a break subject to my availability at the time of contact, I can stand in and offer respite I am pet friendly with no allergies. I am reliable, trustworthy, caring, and a down to earth kind carer.
