Having worked as both a Live-In Carer and a Care Assistant, I understand that excellent care is not just about completing tasks, but about how those tasks are delivered. A typical day with me as a care professional would be calm, organised, and person-centred. I begin by ensuring the individual is comfortable, safe, and respected in every interaction. I support with personal care, medication prompts, mobility, meal preparation, and household tasks while encouraging independence and choice at all times. I pay close attention to routines, preferences, and emotional wellbeing, knowing that consistency and dignity are just as important as physical support. As a Live-In Carer, providing 24-hour care taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of building trust. Living alongside my client allowed me to anticipate needs, respond quickly, and offer companionship that reduced loneliness and increased confidence. I am attentive, reliable, and able to remain calm under pressure, even in challenging situations. I take pride in being someone people feel comfortable with someone who listens, reassures, and treats every individual as I would want my own family member to be treated.
