Before I became a Carer I used to help my friend who had a son with Cerebral Palsy when she is not around and I use to help my neighbour she had cancer assist her with toilet and feeding and give her company, I have experience with people have eating disorder problem from my niece, I understand how bad it can affect someone and how to help someone with the problem, I decided to become a carer and continue what I'm good at, I have worked with people with Dementia, Chronic conditions, I have provided care for Stroke, Accident Rehabilitation, Physical Disabilities and end of life care. I also worked with Mental health professionals as Interpreter for patients, I have experience working with people suffering from Mental health and who are attending medical appointment that can be life changing.
