In 2013, I took a break from my career to care for my father. During that time, I realized how meaningful it is to support loved ones in their most vulnerable moments. When I returned to work, that experience inspired me to pursue a path in geriatric care.
For the past eight years, I have been working as a live-in carer, supporting clients with a range of complex health conditions, including mild to advanced dementia, kidney failure, hypotension, double incontinence, cancer, and those who are bedridden. This role has strengthened not only my clinical expertise but also my compassion, patience, and understanding.
I have come to recognize that caring for the elderly is not just a job for me, but a true calling. I bring flexibility, a wide range of skills, and a genuine dedication to providing high-quality, person-centered care. I treat every individual with the same respect, kindness, and love that I would offer to my own family.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy gardening, dancing, listening to music, and reading about developments in nursing, current health issues, and technological trends. I also appreciate spending my downtime watching light-hearted and uplifting content.
