I started off as a carer and worked my way up to the registered manager position, so I think it's fair to say that I have plenty of experience in the field. During my time as a carer, I learned everything personal care related, such as incontinence care, feeding, personal care, and moving and handling, and during my years as a team leader and in management, I have focused more on the paperwork, risk assessments, and clinical side of things such as medication administration and ordering. The providers I have worked for specialise in residential, nursing, childcare and dementia care, so those sorts of environments are the ones that I would be most comfortable and experienced in.
