    Hi my name is Diane but most call me Di. I am experienced care worker of 20 Plus years ranging from care assistant to Acute Assessment unit and support worker in a care home. In the past two years I have become a live in care worker which I am enjoying more. My jobs have taken me all over the UK and...More Hi my name is Diane but most call me Di. I am experienced care worker of 20 Plus years ranging from care assistant to Acute Assessment unit and support worker in a care home. In the past two years I have become a live in care worker which I am enjoying more. My jobs have taken me all over the UK and the Channel Islands so driving does not present any issue to me. I currently live in France where we are renovating a 17th century farmhouse. I like to travel and ride a motorcycle. Have organised group trips away. I worked on the railway for 15 years both mainline and steam charter railways. I was a Chief Stewardess working out of Kings Cross and St Pancras stations as well as Paddington. I would describe myself as very caring, hard working and compassionate. I like to keep on top of basic housework in my clients homes. I have worked with early and late stage dementia, stroke survivors as well as end of life patients. I have all relevant and up to date training and qualifications NVQ 2 and 3. Fully vaccinated for Covid etc. I am a liver transplant survivor [2018]of cancer so have to be vaccinated for my own protection as well as my clients. I am a competent cook and understand basic dietary needs. I love to make a difference to my clients lives and living comforts. Where possible I like to take clients out for short trips to enhance their daily living style. I really like looking at old photos and getting to know more about the history of my clients. This all helps in the understanding of my clients needs and wellbeing I prefer to do short term cover respite , cover a carer & Palliative care. i could be open to longer stints if needed.
