My experience includes personal care, medication support, mobility assistance and hoisting, nutrition and hydration, continence and catheter care, clinical observations, diabetes care, epilepsy management and supporting people who may present with challenging or distressed behaviour.
I also have experience with more complex care needs, including tracheostomy care, oral suction, oxygen therapy, enteral feeding, ventilator support, autonomic dysreflexia, bowel management, aerosol therapy and manual chest percussion. I only undertake clinical or complex care tasks where I am appropriately trained, competent and authorised to do so.
I am confident supporting people in their own homes and within the community, whether they require personal care, companionship, assistance with daily living, community access or more complex support. I am also comfortable using mobility equipment and hoists and follow safe moving and handling practices.
I am a driver with my own vehicle insured for business use, which allows me to support clients with appointments, shopping, social activities and accessing their local community.
Outside work, I enjoy cooking, reading, listening to music, travelling and keeping active.
