My mode of care has always been to encourage the client (friend) to go for walks (if possible). I may read to the client if they request it, or we might watch a film. Activity always helps to instil a sense of purpose in the client being cared for. I have learned to be patient and to adapt to each client's personality as they become accustomed to mine.
