Working independently in the client’s home giving day-to-day personal assistance, emotional and physical care and helping them to keep and improve their independence. Including Assisting with personal care/bathing, Preparing meals, Shopping, Household support, Cleaning / laundry work, Moving and handling, Medication. Being a friend and companion and other duties associated with daily activities and hobbies ie crafts, keeping active and up to date with exercises. Helping with mobility – some customers need assistance getting around the home. Overseeing medication – all according to the customer’s care plan. Household chores – help around the home, such as vacuuming or washing clothes. Preparing and cooking meals. Running errands – assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescription. providing Companionship – sharing conversation and spending time together with the client.
