After working as a theatre nurse, I spent time living in Europe and took a break from nursing, during which my NMC registration lapsed. On returning to the UK, I worked in domiciliary care and as a live-in carer for clients with spinal injuries, and in 2022 I completed a Return to Practice program and rejoined the nursing register.
Since then, I have worked as a staff nurse in low secure residential services for adults with autism and learning disabilities, and in a nursing home setting, working across both nursing and mental health disciplines. This has given me a wide range of experience and expertise in both physical and mental health care for adults. I am currently up to date with all mandatory yearly training last completed in August 2025.
I’m calm, practical and down-to-earth, with a strong focus on dignity, safety and independence. I’m confident supporting adults with a wide range of needs – from younger, more active people who want support to stay independent at home and in the community, through to those with complex physical conditions, palliative and end-of-life care needs.
A day with me as your Care Professional is unhurried, respectful and organised. I can support with personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, attending appointments, gentle exercise, household tasks and meaningful activities such as going for a walk, having a coffee and a chat, or working through paperwork together. I pay close attention to how you’re feeling, adapt to your energy levels and routines, and always involve you (and your family, if appropriate) in decisions about your care.
I am currently building my own private practice and am looking for a small number of regular, part-time hours so I can offer consistent, reliable support to a few clients. My usual rates are £20–£30 per hour, depending on the level and complexity of care required, and I’m happy to discuss this with you.
If you are looking for a mature, experienced Care Professional who will treat you as an individual and work alongside you, I’d be very happy to talk about how I can help.
