I am a highly motivated and caring individual with a good sense of attention to detail and finding out what people need-essential in my work as a massage therapist and carer. I enjoy learning new skills. Caring comes naturally to me. I am dedicated trustworthy and flexible to work with. The joy of being able to support someone in their own home and see positive results in their wellbeing, to see someone smiling again because of my assistance, that is what makes being a live-in carer worthwhile. I have always believed caring for each other builds a positive community. It has come naturally to me from a very young age. I am a positive person and can put a smile on almost anybody’s face. I will always go out of my way to make sure my client is happy, this can often revolve around different foods that I cook them. Some of my signature dishes are things like roast dinner with chicken, lamb, pork or duck, roasties, vegetables and gravy, chilli con carne, cottage pie, fish pie, vegetarian dishes and anything else the client describes and wishes to eat. There has been times where I have used the internet to find my client's favourite dish. Other things I have done with my clients are days out in the city or a walk in the park, going to the cinema, art gallery or pub, watching programmes on TV the client enjoys and being able to talk about, playing scrabble, word-search or card games. In my own time I will spend time in my allotment where I grow seasonal vegetables. I enjoy dancing (food for my soul) I meditate every day and I attend Buddhist Retreats in the Scottish Highlands, reading books on autobiography and self development.
