FK3 0BY 204405 My name is Ethel, I am an experienced, professional, and caring lady with over 20 years invested in the care and support of others. I did not intend to do live in care but repeated requests by clients and their families has led to me specialising in Live In and Domiciliary care for over 10 years. I still keep up to date with the practices in other sectors of the care sector, including nursing and care and care in the community, and still work in these environments. I have training and the practical experience in specialist areas, such as special needs, dementia, palliative care and others such as challenging behaviours, self-harm, violent outbursts, danger to the public and Autism and Down Syndromes. I believe we should all work together as it is only then we can create the type of world, most of us wish to live in. My personal life revolves around nay family, which takes up much of my free time, including my son and wife, Granddaughter, nephews, nieces, cousins, and of course my “aunties” and “uncles”, who still offer me advice on anything (or everything) except I am an “auntie” to a few, and am happy to give advice and guidance based on my own experience, life. Myself and a few other African ladies have formed a club and invest resources etc. to help and empower Africans mainly back in Southern Africa, but also abroad to succeed, especially women, and encourage them to do the same for others. I do not give my services lightly, but when I commit to something, I do it to the best of my ability utilising my experience and my upbringing that taught me that the greatest thing we can do is the care of others. Give me a call and we can discuss hours, rates, needs, wants, etc. Then give me a try, you won’t regret it. 1 0 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

FK3 9AJ 284964 I am an enthusiastic professional who is resourceful, hard-working, versatile and dynamic. I am a dedicated and seasoned care worker in the beginning of my nursing career. My current rates are subject to change once I get my NMC pin registration. l am flexible and can negotiate my rate depending on what level of care is required for each individual client this can be discussed during our Curam meet. I am happy to perform household duties, offer companionship, cooking, shopping and physio care. l have over 15 years’ experience of working at adult inpatient and outpatient units ,care homes and supported living. I began my career working as a healthcare assistant for the elderly. I cared for adults affected by organic illnesses, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. In an effort to further my career I later trained as a nurse and l have finally qualified in 2024. I am in the process of waiting for my NMC pin registration. I have had the opportunity to work in various aspects of care attaining extensive experience. During my nursing placements l have gained experience in these including working in day surgery, endoscopy, theatre, Oncology, orthopaedic. I have also had the experience of working in the Acute Assessment Unit during my time as a student nurse and I proved that I am dynamic and versatile enough to work in fast paced environments. l can work longer hours, night shifts available 7 days and during the week day shifts within school hours. Some of my best experience comes from working in Critical Care over the last 4 years where I have proved that I can work well and retain composure during a patient’s critical illness. I have gained extensive experience of nursing patients with acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions. I carry out assessments, plan, implement, evaluate interventions and maintain associated records while working within the ethical and legal framework of the NHS. I value integrated working as well as multi- disciplinary team working to deliver quality patient centred care. I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am organised, hardworking and have strong leadership qualities. I can manage a ward and work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure the delivery of quality care. I work in line with the Care Quality Commission’s key lines of enquiry to ensure that the service we provide is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. Following my 4 years’ experience as a nursing student, I am confident enough to take the lead role of assessing patients, liaising with medics and implementing coordinated treatment and follow up plans. I demonstrate leadership skills and effective multi-disciplinary team working. I can work well and remain calm under pressure or during a crisis due to my resilient and composed personality. I empathise with all patients, recognise and respect differences including spiritual and cultural beliefs. In addition to this, I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I understand how to effectively care for patients in a person centred way. One of my personal strengths is being able to communicate well and build a rapport with people from various backgrounds. I always work within my Codes of Professional Conduct following Trust Policies and procedures while motivating other staff to do the same. I am proficient and always follow all protocols to escalate a situation to other professionals where necessary. Through clinical practice I have learnt how to maintain patient safety, robust risk assessments, promote health and well-being of patients in line with my NMC Codes of Practice and the SSSC for Scotland. I also have a good working knowledge of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Children Act 1989, Mental Capacity Act 2005, amended in 2007. I have proven commitment to continuous professional development, and have demonstrated my readiness and success at taking on opportunities that offer the chance to improve and broaden my knowledge and skills base. I have become a dependable, responsible professional with a passion and commitment to excellence and success; whilst being a conscientious go-getter who is highly organised, dedicated, and committed to professionalism. I would therefore be ready to undertake any such personal and professional development opportunities as identified. I can confidently say l can work in any environment and know my strengths and limitations and know when to seek out for help if needed. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

PH11 8DH 115771 I am a mum to 4 lovely children and have worked in care for 20 years with a few short breaks for starting a family and studying for my degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology. I enjoy having nice walks with my family and dogs in the lovely countryside where we live. I have also been a volunteer puppy walker for the Guide Dogs for 5 years now, caring for the pups in our home from around 8 weeks of age until they reach their sight traing age at aroung 18 months. I started as an Auxiliary Nurse in my local NHS hospital 20 years ago which allowed me to develop skills and knowledge in different care settings. I have been a self employed carer for 6 years working through my local councils Direct Care scheme. I have my own transport and can be extremely flexible. I am patient, compassionate and respectful of my clients needs and wishes. I am a professional carer with a friendly and empathic manner. I believe a carer should give their clients 100% and believe clients should be treated with respect and dignity at all times. I have hands on experience with catheter care, stoma bag care, moving & handling and oxygen therapy via mask or trachea. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

G15 7EP 108803 I have a great passion for helping others live comfortably in their own homes. I assist clients with daily living tasks they can no longer perform personally due to illness, frailty or being affected with a physical disability, and mobility issues. I have supported clients who were affected with Dementia, Parkinson disease and some needed companionship as they are lonely in their homes. I have also supported clients who were depressed and were very anxious about life. As no two people are the same, I work using the Person - Centred Approach. I treat clients with dignity and respect. This means I respect their rights, wishes, and choices as long as they do not put them into harm or danger. I work adhering to Legislation and Policies and Procedures. I am a team player and have a listening ear, too. I bring smiles to my clients by appreciating them and treating them with respect and having time doing things the client wants and having cups of tea with cake or biscuits too. This helps to create a very good rapport. I love cooking and baking and sometimes try new things that clients want if I do know them, especially food as I am from Africa originally. I love making someone smile daily by supporting them in A Person -Centred Way as it is to their choice, not mine . I promote clients' independence, that is, letting them do what they can. I was a Primary School Teacher in Zimbabwe for over 22 years. I taught children from primary one up to seven. When I came to the UK, I decided to help older adults and went to university to train as a social worker. I chose to work with older adults as I had a lot of interest to be with my grandparents when I was young. I had a very good relationship with them. I have very good listening skills and respect others to talk before me. I hold a diploma in social work, and I supported the elderly when I was on placement and I enjoyed that so much, and this made me want to work as a Live-in-Carer. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}
