I was a support worker for ten years giving carers a break from their care role. My clients were all of different ages and had individual care needs. My experience has been with dementia, long-term illnesses, mental health conditions and physical disabilities, and a lot of domiciliary care. I am a caring kind individual and believe good communication skills go a long way. I also have palliative care experience, I understand how being a full time carer can have an impact on someone life. I had been a foster carer for several years and my most recent job is working in a specialist school for children with complex needs. I have been told I have a calming voice, caring nature and a non-judgemental attitude. It's not often you don't see a smile on my face, I always try to turn the negative into a positive. What I enjoy most about my job is what I learn from those I care for. I have studied psychology with the OU for many years and this has given me a great insight into human nature I am able to reflect on my skills and will always think about what I could have done differently.

Michelle, came into care for my 89 year old mother and she instantly connected with Michelle as soon as she met her. Michelle is so friendly, caring and so helpful in every way with her knowledge about things my mum and dad could be entitled to to help them with every day life. She's very professional and caring I highly recommend her. Mum said Michelle was like one of the family, says it all. Thanks Michelle x

Michelle not only fulfils her duties professionally she offers emotional support and shows kindness and empathy in everything she does - most importantly she never rushes or makes my Aunt feels like she is unable to do anything - she makes my aunt smile with every visit A true angel who has certainly found her vocation

Michelle supported my mother in law recently after she suffered a bout of ill health. We could not have wished for someone better. She was kind, professional and kept us up to date with progress. Her reassuring presence helped my mother in law to make a quicker recovery and not only did she provide an excellent level of care but went over and above in terms of the kindness and compassion she showed us all. I would not hesitate to recommend Michelle and we would certainly want her to come again.

We are grateful that Michelle was able to help us out for a short period of time in caring for our elderly father. Michelle was professional, kind and caring and really good company for Dad, enhancing his day with interesting conversation. We would be happy for her to help us out again in the future.

Michelle was great, very friendly and makes you feel at ease. She looked after my husband with Early Alzheimers while I went away for a week. She just stopped in twice a day which was just enough to give structure to the day and make sure that my husband was doing okay. The whole week went very smoothly and gave me huge peace of mind. Thankyou Michelle.
