I have vast experience gained from training done through the years and also gained from working experiences. i have worked with people that have different needs and gained an indepth of the job requirements within Health and Social Care.I am able to work without supervision within a team to achieve the desired goal for individuals that i will be working with. I am very professional to represent the organisation that i work for to meet the required Care Standards, code of conduct and policies. I am able to support individuals in a Person Centred way to enable them to live independently within their own homes. I am able to identify risk according to Health and Safety legislations and policies. Throughout my work experiences as a Support Worker, Live in and as a Care Assistant i have worked with people from different enthnicity treating them equally in a dignified way as per their preferences to provide quality care. I have worked with people that have Autism, Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Live in, companionship and severe challenging behaviours. I have also worked in different wards within NHS Scotland as a Clinical Support Worker. I am able to offer appropriate support to meet the diverse individual needs within the organisation policies and procedures. I am able to realise potential and encourage the residents to be independent through PersonCentred Approach for them to lead a full active and socially centred lives. I am able to treat everyone equally regardless of their gender, race, age and colour. I am also able to work with such people confidently through the training of Positive Intervention and Support Plans and being able to assess the risks before hand. Through SVQ II, HNC Care Practice, I have the knowledge and skills to provide quality care. I have gained the skills on recording information accurately with due regard for confidentiality within the policies guidelines. I am able to observe, assess, evaluate and report anything of health and safety concern and everything I do in line with Code of Conduct and SSSC Law and National Care Standards in Scotland. I am computer literate to update the changes and updating family and health professionals as required. I have gained the importance of giving respect, choice, privacy and dignity to anyone at all times. I am a mature, responsible person with a very caring nature. I believe in giving the best to the less privileged people through my own life experiences. Loosing a son through death who battled with a chronic illness for a very long time has made me get satisfaction working with people in similar situations. It has given me a depth understanding of how it is rewarding to help such people to have full meaningful lives through my personal attitude and being sympathetic. My working experience has equipped me with the importance of working as a team to achieve a set goal by being honest and transparent. I have managed to work and prioritise my work. I have a commitment to punctuality and reliability and flexibility. My other personal qualities are being able to support other people emotionally, listening and being trustworthy. I am able to communicate in English both written and verbally to represent the organisation's values, and work cooperatively with service users, families, colleagues and outside agencies.
