For instance, I have worked with various clients from young to elderly, from care homes to hospitals in Manchester like Doyle ward, Wythenshawe, Birch Hill, Bury, Stepping Hill, Oldham, Trafford etc. In these wards i undertake many tasks as a support worker and most times as a patient service assistant, which ranges from serving meals and drinks to the patients, emptying catheters, changing filled dirty linen bags, helping patients who are not self-caring in attending to their daily basic hygiene by giving bed wash and in some cases, those that are not mobile, giving bedpans and bottle for urinating. Also, I carry other duties that may be directed by the qualified staff in charge. Also, I undertake to specialise in patients who are at a risk of falls and special needs that require close monitoring given their health condition. I also have Major experience working with client with Learning disability, and patients in the mental Health setting, in the former I have been able to provide care and support to service users all in bid to maximise their potentials and ultimately build a future in independent living, while in the latter I have experience working in a secured environment undertaking supervision and reporting all unusual occurrences to colleagues at handover meetings, carry out enhanced supervision on patient under seclusion, providing report which is used in reviewing and planning of patients care plan, etc. On the other hand, I possess qualities such as self-motivation with high standard, approachable, an active listener and an organized person willing to learn and develop my skills, adaptable, flexible, tolerant, patience, ability to set goals and meet objectives. I am also a responsible and committed team player who can communicate at many levels and understand what it takes to work as a team and also understand the government policies on equal opportunities at workplace in treating patients and individual without being discriminative on the grounds of race, sex, gender and sexual orientation. More so, I can communicate effectively with verbal and written skills. Hence can take appropriate recordings and writings that is associated with this work. Finally, I am initiative oriented who can work with little or no supervision. Also, I respect and obey constituted authorities taking directions and guidance from them as may be stipulated by the trust or company policies. In all, I believe that I will be an invaluable asset to your noble company in helping the company in realising its goals and objectives if offered this job.
