My experience in working in acute, ad...More I am a registered mental health nurse with 14 years experience in caring for people with different mental, physical health challenges and learning disabilities and 6 years before qualifying as a nurse I worked as a HCA working in care homes and supported living. My experience in working in acute, admission, assessment and treatment mental health units have enabled me to support people who are in a crisis, stabilise them and enable them and their families to have control of their health and wellbeing. I have worked with children, adults of working age and older adults. I am compassionate with excellent communication skills and my listening skills have enabled me to provide individualised care while working collaboratively with individuals and their families. My flexible approach towards care helps me to build therapeutic and trusting relationships with people I provide care for. I am approachable and engaging with people under my care on a 1:1 engagement basis has helped to build their confidence and self esteem. I am patient, calm and sensitive towards others challenges. I have excellent report writing and recording skills and I work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary settling. I can support an individual to access their personal interests and care needs in the community safely. My approach towards care is to advocate for the individual I care for. In addition, I enjoy travelling, cooking, cleaning, shopping and watching movies Although I have no experience in looking after pets such as dogs and cats, I don’t mind working in an environment where there are some.I can support individuals to achieve their goals in their activities of daily living.. I respect individuals' spiritual needs and sexual orientation. I am willing to learn new things from the individuals I provide care for. As a registered nurse I will provide professional care while working within the scope of my job role as a carer. I am looking for regular day and night time work, I am also able to cover 1 weeks live in per month.
