For the last 5 years I have been working as a live in carer throughout the UK, I am ...More Hi my name is Malgorzata, but I prefer to be called Gosia for short, I started my caring journey over 10 years ago working in a care home as a cleaner, kitchen domestic and then later on as a Health care assistant. For the last 5 years I have been working as a live in carer throughout the UK, I am now looking to base myself in Northern Ireland to be closer to family. My role involves in the Customer's home providing all aspect of personal and domiciliary care, including: - assistance with all aspect of personal care - dressing, undressing, grooming - toileting and incontinence( change pad) - assistance with all aspect of medication and the usage of aids and personal equipment such as ceiling track hoist or walking aids - assistance with day-to-day tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry - providing companionship, taking them shopping or to the cinema, reading and looking at photo albums or talking to them over cups of tea, coffee. I am a kind and caring natured person. I am active woman, I like long walks, cycling, swimming. My previous experience working with clients are : Deafness, Bed bound, Eating Disorder, Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Vascular Dementia, Stroke, Dementia, Parkinsons, End of Life. I am open to working with weekly or part time live in clients, when starting with a new client I always find it better to have a settling in period of 1/2 weeks and then I can discuss with client/family members the period of care I can deliver depending on the clients condition. I also prefer to have my 2 hour break each day where possible. On my part time live in jobs I prefer to have my days altogether.
