I am 52 years old and I have been working as a Mental Health Nurse for 20 years now in a Private Mental Health hospital in London and prior to qualified in 2005 I worked for the same company for about 5 years. My main experience is with people suffering from depression, anxiety, dementia , Eating disorders, alcohol and drug additions and more. I moved to Broadstairs for a quieter life by the sea 5 years ago and was still commuting to London until 2 years ago when I decide to find a job around here and I am now working in a Care Home. Unfortunately I am not enjoying it because I miss the Mental Health side of my job and at the moment my duties are mostly general nursing. The hardest thing in my present job is that I don’t get the chance to spend any time with my poor residents who often feel lonely but because of the nature of the job I always have to rush because our medication rounds are endless. The other issue is that I have to work long days of 12 hours which doesn’t always fit around my family life as I have a 14 years old daughter and a lovely 5 years old Cockapoo and I need more flexible hours. Perhaps you are feeling a little lonely at times, or isolated and need companionship and fancy a little chat with a cup Of tea? I am also happy to help with the activities of general living and personal care? I can also assist with meal time support and meal time preparation. I can also help With shopping. I am a car driver with all the correct insurance cover and I can help with transportation Clients with small dogs or cats are welcome.
