A driven, effective team player who excels in meeting company standards and increasing customer service levels. Consistently demonstrating loyalty and commitment to performing to high standards. Willing and eager to take any training courses in order to further ones ability. I was my grandmother's primary caregiver while I was a teenager. She is fragile woman in her late 70s who required a lot of help with most daily tasks. I decided to take on the role of her carer since I was there more often than my parents, who were both employed full-time. In my role as a woman, I also took care of my siblings and my cousins and it was great experience, it felt natural. I have worked as a Care Assistant in a residential home, helping with day to day duties amongst a team • Helping with washing and dressing • Making food or help with eating • Getting to know the residents interests and needs • Doing household jobs, like washing clothes and shopping • Monitoring the residents weight and record any concerns they have • Checking the residents are taking their prescribed medications • Supporting their physical and mental wellbeing through activities My experience also as a Live In Carer has thought me how • To support clients to live independently and safely in their own homes • To live-in (including sleeping) the clients home during the assignment period • To deliver all tasks stated on the care plans to an excellent standard and in accordance with all The Private Care Company’s policies and procedures, best practice, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations • To carry out and assist clients of The Private Care Company with a variety of personal, practical and general care tasks. • To support client’s food and fluid intake as directed by the care plan, and to ensure documentation of all intake as per training • To maintain care skills at the required level and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required • To communicate with and report any incidents to the care manager as necessary to ensure high standards of care are delivered • To liaise with other professionals such as district nurses, doctors, pharmacists, occupational therapists etc, to ensure that clients receive a high standard of care
