I taught for more than 15 years and currently involved in mentoring and coaching young adults during my spare time. I have enjoyed working full time at a local care home and also with other care services. I believe I am one of the key cogs in both organisations and an asset. I am a sociable person, kind and honest too. I have worked well with teens and elders in an amazing way. I am a life long learner and an ardent believer in servant leadership. Numerous critical skills have been gained in this industry such as hoisting, use of sliding sheet, taking care and maintaining wheelchair, changing and emptying catheter. All these skills have been gained through in-house training. Putting a smile on someone’s face gives me satisfaction. I am an always sober person, no smoking and drinking yet I respect and can socialise with those who do so. I like travelling, shopping, watching different sports and also reading and writing. Being a carer is an inborn virtue in me.
